Affordable Restaurants on I Drive
June 4, 2015
Our last post highlighted nice restaurants to visit on International Drive. It’s nice to splurge a couple of times while on vacation, but for many people the trip to Orlando itself is already a splurge, so they are not trying to go the expensive route when it comes to food. The most affordable option, of course, is to buy groceries and cook a meal. Staying in a hotel such as staySky Suites I-Drive Orlando that has a fully equipped kitchen gives you that option. But if you still want to be able to go out and not break the bank, here are a few options for you:
Cici’s Pizza: This is an all-you-can-eat buffet of pizza, pasta, salad and dessert. There are usually a couple of pasta options, a couple of different tossed salads a few different desserts, including a chocolate pizza that is a hit with the kids. Besides that, they have rotating flavors of pizza coming out fresh every so often, so it’s a great option if you are a fan of pizza! Prices vary a little, but $5.49 adult buffet and $3.49 children buffet.
Golden Coral: This is an all-you-can-eat, country style buffet offers salads, pasta, pizza, meats, veggies, rolls, sides, desserts and more! The kids especially love the dessert bar that included a chocolate fountain they can dip marshmallows, strawberries and rice cakes under. They also have an ice cream machine, toppings, syrups, cakes, brownies and pies. The desert itself is worth the trip! Prices vary for lunch, dinner or weekends but it’s around $9 to $12 per adult. And $6 to $8 for kids. (Located 0.4 miles from staySky Suites)
Ponderosa Steakhouse: They have a great breakfast value that many guests love to start their day with! The “All You Care To Eat Breakfast Buffet” costs $6.99 per person and includes pancakes, muffins, sausages, bacon, eggs to order, waffles to cinnamon buns, fruits and biscuits. For lunch and dinner prices vary around $9.99 – $24.99 and they have steak, chicken, pork, seafood, burgers, soups and salads. (Located 0.7 miles from staySky Suites)
The all-you-can-eat style restaurants will always give a better bang for your buck, so grab the family and enjoy a night off you calorie-counting routine! After all, that is what vacation is for!
